Design Process
While initially trained in the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) process, I tend to lean more towards the AGILE (Align, Get Set, Iterate, Leverage, and Evaluate) process of design.
There is a great deal of overlap in the generalities of the two theories, however, I prefer the AGILE approach because it breaks the entire module down into microlessons and focuses on these individually. These microlessons are then viewed as pieces of a puzzle that fit together to support the overarching learning goals.
Additionally, AGILE appears to view the lessons as a living, organic creature, constantly evolving. AGILE encourages constant evaluation of the lessons to ensure student success and that the content remains current.
